Leechburg Man Robert Renwick Hospitalized in Allegheny Township Crash
Allegheny Township, Pennsylvania (January 5, 2018) – According to a police report, one man was hospitalized in a five-vehicle crash in Allegheny township Thursday morning.
The crash happened around 6:40 a.m. Thursday, January 4, at Route 356 and Fire Hall Road.
According to the police report, 72-year-old Leechburg man, Robert Renwick, was driving a 1997 Buick Southbound on Route 356 near an intersection with the Fire Hall Road when he crossed into the north lane and struck a Subaru Station Wagon driven by 70-year-old Diane Gallucci of Leechburg.
Renwick was believed have had a medical emergency according to police.
After colliding with the Subaru, Renwick’s Buick struck a 2017 Ford Escape driven by 60-year-old Bonnie Shall, of Leechburg.
The impact pushed the escape into a vehicle behind it driven by 26-year-old Kayla Patcyk, of Leechburg.
The impact further pushed the Subaru into a 2013 Jeep Cherokee driven by Howard King Jr.
Care was provided by Freeport ambulance crews and Lower Kiski and Allegheny Township Markle fire companies assisted the police.
Renwick was transported to UPMC St. Margaret and his condition was not revealed.
The re-opened around 7:10 p.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
