Gail Shaw ID’d as Man Killed in Erie Motorcycle Accident at East Lake Road and Gilson Avenue
Erie, Pennsylvania (August 12, 2018) – The Man killed in a multi-vehicle collision involving a motorcyclist on Friday afternoon in Erie has been identified as Gail Jeffery Shaw, 63, of Clarendon, according to the police.
The fatal crash occurred at East Lake Road and Gilson Avenue at around 4:45 p.m. Friday, August 10.
Police said a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, a Buick sedan and a Honda CR-V SUV were involved.
According to witnesses, the three vehicles were heading east on East Lake Road when the two cars collided, and the impact pushed one of them into the motorcycle, which was being driven by Shaw.
The force of the crash ejected Shaw from the bike.
Police said Shaw was pronounced dead at 5:33 p.m. at the scene.
It’s unclear whether there were other injuries.
The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the wreck.
