Alyssa Hawk Killed, Four Injured in Bradford Car Crash on Main Street
Bradford, Pennsylvania (September 15, 2018) – One person was killed and four others, including three bystanders, were injured last week Saturday morning in a traffic crash in Duke Center, according to the authorities.
The crash happened at about 9:32 p.m. September 8, on Main Street.
According to a preliminary investigation, Daniel Oaks of Bradford was driving a car on Main Street when it left the roadway as it headed out of town and hit a parked full-size pickup truck, in front of a home.
The impact caused the pickup to hit the porch and a parked side-by-side ATV, which then crashed into an occupied second side-by-side which was parked near the residence.
The car came to a stop in the residence yard. There were people outside the residence during the crash, and three men in the porch’s vicinity sustained injuries as a result of the accident.
Alyssa Hawk, 29, of Bradford, who was a passenger in the car, died at the scene.
Oaks and the three bystanders were airlifted to UPMC Hamot in Erie and Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, New York.
The car and the pickup were towed away from the scene.
Authorities said speed was a likely factor in the crash.
The Pennsylvania state police are investigating the crash.
